I'm a Louisville resident, and this is my 5th year attending the University of Louisville. I exude Cardinal spirit for many reasons. This is my 5th year holding season tickets and living on campus. I grew up attending basketball games at Freedom Hall, I also cheered on the Card heroes at the last game in Freedom Hall, and I was an active fan at the first game ever in the YUM center.
I love being a UofL student because the campus is so beautiful, and Speed School and the Honors Program have brilliant advisors and caring teachers. I was dedicated and driven enough to switch majors and join Speed School the middle of my junior year, extending my college career to 7 years. I'm studying civil engineering, and I'm an Engineering Technician III at the Metropolitan Sewer District. Furthermore, I am an alpha member of the new sorority on campus called Phi Sigma Rho, and I'm the President this semester. I'm an Honors Scholar student, passing 16 Honors courses, earning 40 Honors Credit Hours, and currently holding a Honors GPA of 3.55. I'm also the ASCE social chair and the EWB events coordinator. I have been blessed to watch the transformation of our campus--the new dining additions (McCalister's, the Ville Grill, Einstein Bros, Cardinal Towne); the rise of new apartment complexes (The Province, Cardinal Towne Phase I and Phase II, and hopefully the new Greek row); and all the green infrastructure additions (Grawmeyer Oval, Business School Parking lot, the new student activities center, the Stoddard Johnson Scholar House, the library trench, the Equine building, the pervious pavers by the SAC, and many more). There's never a dull moment on campus, and I look forward to seeing how the rest of campus evolves in my final years at the University of Louisville!
